Alumnus Cory Lehman Named Director of Advancement

Cory Lehman has been named Director of Advancement at Central Catholic High School.  Cory is a 2008 CCHS graduate, and he has been working at the school since October 2019 as the Director of Enrollment.  His new position will begin January 1, 2025.  For the next few months, Cory will continue to support the work of the Enrollment office while preparing for his role in the Advancement department.

“Central Catholic is excited to announce Cory as our next Director of Advancement,” said Head of School Kevin Parkins.  “Cory is passionate about the students of CCHS and is committed to helping the institution flourish.  We look forward to Cory starting in this position full time on January 1.  As Cory transitions from his role as Director of Enrollment, we will begin the search for his replacement immediately.”

As the Director of Advancement, Cory will engage with alumni and supporters of Central Catholic in development and fundraising activities.  He will be replacing Eric Stockard (Class of 1975), who is retiring.  “I have been a part of Central Catholic in some capacity for over four decades - first as a student, then as a coach, a teacher, and finally as Vice President for Institutional Advancement - and I will always cherish my experiences here,” Eric said.  “Cory is from a legacy family and is committed to the success of Central Catholic.  I am confident that he will continue to take our school in a positive direction, and I am excited to see him use his knowledge and experience to impact the lives of current and future students.”

“Stepping into the role of Director of Advancement at Central Catholic is a profound honor and responsibility,” said Cory.  “I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our community, alumni, and supporters to enhance our mission and support our students' growth.  I'm very excited to continue building off the great work that has been done over the last 100 years, and I cannot wait to get started!”

Cory came to Central Catholic after working as one of 10 admissions counselors at the University of Toledo.  He was responsible for 70 high schools locally and in southeast Michigan.  Prior to that, he worked in admissions at Siena Heights University, where he had earned his undergraduate degree in K-12 special education and his master’s in educational leadership.  He also worked as a teacher for one year in Swanton.

Cory and his wife, Jillian, have 3 children and live in Perrysburg.  Cory comes from a large family with three generations of Central Catholic graduates.  When he was attending CCHS, he played basketball and baseball.  He was a 3-year starting shortstop for the baseball team and was named 1st-team All-City.  Cory was inducted into the Siena Heights University Hall of Fame in 2022 and is one of the most decorated players in the history of the Saints baseball program.
