Your Taxes Benefit Their Future!!!
Central Catholic High School
has partnered with an
official Scholarship Granting
Organization (SGO) called
Every Child Every Family. If
you have a tax liability with
the state of Ohio and you
make a donation to this SGO
designated to Central Catholic
High School, you can receive a
100% tax credit (dollar for dollar) for your donation, up to $750 if you file singly, or $1,500 if married, filing jointly.
This opportunity gives our supporters the ability to donate funds that would otherwise go to the state of Ohio to help Central Catholic families with additional tuition assistance.
The tax year is quickly approaching, and if you have a tax liability with the state of Ohio, we are asking you to prayerfully consider donating these dollars to the Every Child Every Family scholarship organization. Your taxes can help our students’ futures!
Step 3:
You will receive a receipt for your gift that you will need to keep for your tax records.
When you prepare your state of Ohio tax return, you can take a tax credit for the amount of your donation!
Thank you for your generosity! Your gift will greatly impact the lives of Central Catholic students.
History of SGO’s in Ohio
Please follow these simple steps to help Central Catholic students:
Step 1:
Review your state of Ohio tax liability. If you have a tax liability, you can make a donation up to $750 for individuals filing singly, or two separate donations up to $750 each if married, filing jointly. If your taxable income is $44,250/year, you should owe over $750 in taxes. Make your check payable to Every Child Every Family and include Central Catholic High School (Toledo) in the memo line OR donate online HERE.
Be sure to choose Central Catholic High School (Toledo) as the school to donate to.
Step 2:
Donate online HERE OR mail checks to:
Every Child Every Family
School Choice Ohio
1335 Dublin Road, Suite 50-A
Columbus, Ohio 43215
If you have any questions about how this will make an impact at Central Catholic, please contact Director of Advancement Cory Lehman at clehman@centralcatholic.org.
Please Note: Write two separate checks or make two separate online donations if you are filing jointly and wish to donate more than $750.

The Ohio General Assembly established a new program whereby Ohioans can receive a 100% tax credit against Ohio income tax liability for cash contributions to certified Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGO) that grant scholarships to students, including those attending Catholic and independent schools. The maximum credit amount is currently $750 (if you file Married Filing Jointly, you can receive a credit for up to $1,500).
You will claim this credit when you file your state income tax return. The nonrefundable credit will reduce your state tax liability (the amount you owe in taxes). A nonrefundable tax credit limits your tax benefit to no more than what you owe in taxes. The amount of the tax credit you can claim is equal to 100% of the amount you donate up to $750 per taxpayer. If you do not have a state tax liability, you will not receive a tax benefit from your donation.
If you and your spouse file Married Filing Jointly, you can receive a credit for up to $1,500 on your joint state income tax return.

A Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that receives contributions from donors and grants educational scholarships to eligible students in Ohio. Individuals and entities that contribute to SGOs participating in the program can receive a tax credit. The SGO program was enacted in 2021 as part of Ohio House Bill 110.
