3 Boys’ Basketball Players Receive All-Northwest District Division II Accolades
Three members of the Central Catholic boys’ basketball team have been named to the 2022-23 All-Northwest District Division II squad, as selected by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association media panel. The Fighting Irish’s 3 selections equaled the most by any school in D-II with St. Marys Memorial.
Junior Isaiah Brenneman earned a spot on the 2nd team, senior Michael Greenlee Jr. was tabbed to the 3rd team, and sophomore Makhi Leach collected honorable mention laurels.
Earlier this season, Brenneman garnered 1st-team all-league recognition, while Greenlee and Leach both registered 2nd-team accolades.
Ranked No. 6 in the final Associated Press D-II state poll, the Scarlet & Gray finished with a 20-5 overall record and an 11-3 mark in the final season of the Three Rivers Athletic Conference, capturing a share of the league championship.
