Baseball Tabbed to Finish 6th in TRAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll
The Blade recently released its annual Three Rivers Athletic Conference baseball preseason poll and Central Catholic has been tabbed to finish 6th, according to voting from the league’s 8 head coaches.
The Fighting Irish trailed 2-time reigning TRAC champion Clay, St. John’s Jesuit, St. Francis de Sales, Whitmer, and Findlay. The Eagles collected 4 of 8 1st-place votes and totaled 58 points to sit atop the standings in the TRAC’s final season.
Fremont Ross was projected to place 7th, followed by Lima Senior.
A season ago, the Fighting Irish tallied a 10-17 overall ledger, 4-10 in the conference under 37th-year Head Coach Jeff Mielcarek.
Individually, Central Catholic returns 3 All-TRAC honorees from last spring, including 1st-team selections senior OF/RHP Brian Bishop and junior INF/RHP Austin Guerra, and honorable mention recipient junior INF/RHP Jaxon Sanchez.
CCHS is currently 2-2 overall this spring.
