Central Catholic High School Senior Selected as Evans Scholar

Central Catholic High School senior, KeShaun Bailey, has been awarded the Evans Scholarship to attend the Ohio State University.  This scholarship is awarded to golf caddies, and it covers full tuition and housing.  Evans scholars are selected based on strong caddie record, excellent grades, outstanding character, and demonstrated financial need.  The scholarship was established in 1930 by the Western Golf Association and celebrated amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr.

KeShaun is a member of the National Honor Society, and he tutors other students at Central Catholic.  He plays football and lacrosse for the Fighting Irish, is a member of the wrestling team and the African American Club, and he works as a caddie at Inverness Club in Toledo.  He plans to major in environmental biology with a minor in business.
