Central Catholic Hires Nick Graf as Boys’ Golf Coach
Nick Graf has been named the boys’ golf coach at Central Catholic High School, Director of Athletics Greg Dempsey (Class of 1990) recently announced.
"We are very excited to have Nick as our new golf coach,” Dempsey said. “Nick's family name is synonymous with golf in northwest Ohio. His background playing golf at the collegiate level provides him with a high level of experience to pass onto our golfers. His post-college experience of playing the game and his training of young golfers make him the perfect fit for Central Catholic.”
Graf, who was born and raised in Toledo, attended St. John’s Jesuit High School and the University of Findlay. As a Titan, he was twice named honorable mention All-District. In addition, he was selected Academic All-Ohio and 2nd-team all-conference.
After graduating from UF in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, he moved to Nashville to start his professional career with Bridgestone as a Sales Analyst. After 2 years, Graf moved to Atlanta to sell software. He then moved back to the “Glass City” to work in sales for Bridgestone before pursuing a coaching career.
“I’m extremely excited and proud to coach the boys’ golf team at Central Catholic,” Graf said. “I look forward to much success with these student-athletes, both on and off the course.”
Graf is currently teaching the game of golf and working with a former teammate on a project by the name of Toledo Stick Company. In addition, he is launching a podcast called "Holy Toledo."
Graf is the son of David and Gina, and he has 2 sisters, Alex and Jaclyn. David is a PGA Master Professional and the co-founder/director of golf at the Golf Performance Institute of Toledo at McDivots Golf Center in nearby Holland.
