CYO Outstanding High School Athlete Awards
Several Central Catholic recently athletes received CYO Outstanding High School Athlete awards.
The CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) invites high school coaches from each sport to nominate a player for this award. The players must be senior varsity athletes who participated in the CYO sports program while in grade school, and they must have good academic and disciplinary records as well as strong leadership qualities. The nominees must also serve as positive role models for current players in the CYO program.
The Central Catholic fall sport athletes who were honored with this CYO award were:
Mikayla Duckett - volleyball
Alexander Francis - cross country
Sam Schommer - soccer
Melanie Whipple - soccer
Noah Zak - football
