Girls’ Basketball Suffers Home Loss vs. Western Reserve Academy, 65-27

The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team suffered a 65-27 loss vs. Western Reserve Academy on Wednesday in the Sullivan Center.  With the non-conference setback, the Fighting Irish fall to 1-7 on the season.

Junior Serinity Bolden led the Scarlet & Gray with 9 points, while classmate Marissa Justen contributed 6 points.

Islay Moore paced the visiting Pioneers (8-4) with a game-high 14 points, followed closely by Brooklyn Hall with 12 points.  Moore tallied all but 2 of her points in the 1st half, helping WRA jump out to a 36-14 advantage at the intermission.

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood against Marian High School on Saturday, January 11, starting with the freshman game at 11 a.m. at the Cicerone Court.  Tickets for Saturday’s Catholic High School League (CHSL) matchup can be purchased at bit.ly/40qRiQL.
