Insignis Society Students Acknowledged at National Honor Society Assembly

Congratulations to the new members of the Central Catholic Insignis Society!!!  These are the high achieving students that are ranked in the top 10, 11, and 12 of the sophomore, junior, and senior classes, respectively.  These students were celebrated at our recent National Honor Society Assembly.

“At Central Catholic, we have an amazing group of students that make up our National Honor Society,” said Clare Smith, National Honor Society co-moderator.  “In addition to that outstanding group of students, we also have the designation of the Insignis Society to recognize those students that really excel in the classroom.  It impresses me that these students not only strive to do their best, but they also tend to be the students who are involved in our other clubs, sports, and activities.  They are truly getting the most out of their high school experience, and they are leaders by example.  It is a great pleasure to get to teach and know these young people.”

“Students who receive the Insignis designation are students who excel in school,” added Katie Shanahan, NHS co-moderator.  “They are active in our school and in the community, and most importantly, they are diligent and dedicated.  These students are at the top of their class because of that dedication to learning and commitment to becoming future leaders and making the world a better place.  We are so very proud of all of their achievements and can't wait to see what they do next!”

“Being in the Insignis Society is a great academic accomplishment, but by no means an unchallenging one,” said sophomore Max Moody.  “To me, being a part of the Insignis Society is a reminder of the work I put into academics and the rewards that come with that, like potential college scholarships.  In the hope of reaching this accomplishment, you have to take steps to take your grades seriously.  I make sure to study consistently and pray for God's guidance through my academic career.  It is important to work hard daily and plan ahead so you can improve upon yourself and your grades every day.”

“Being honored in the Insignis Society shows that all my hard work is paying off and is truly recognized,” added sophomore Lillian Stasa.  “It's important to take academics seriously for your future and your career, and it's a good start in paving your pathway to college.”
