League-High 15 Football Players Earn All-TRAC Honors

Fifteen members of the Central Catholic football team earned All-TRAC honors, the Three Rivers Athletic Conference office recently announced. The Fighting Irish’s 15 honorees are the most in the league.

CCHS finished with a perfect 8-0 ledger in the TRAC this fall and captured its fourth-consecutive conference championship. The Scarlet & Gray are currently riding 25-straight victories against TRAC opponents, dating back to 2017.

Nine Fighting Irish made first-team All-TRAC. They were senior DL Dylan Fisher, senior LB Chris Jackson, senior DB Peyton Reasonover, junior DB Braden Awls, senior P Cole Tishler, junior RB Chris Edmonds, senior WR Josh Lee, senior TE Sam Lee and senior OL Brent Rombach. Jackson and Fisher collected first-team All-TRAC accolades for a second-straight year.

Seven Fighting Irish garnered second-team honors. They included junior QB Ty’Waun Clark, senior WR Khaleb Carter, senior PK Cole Tishler, sophomore DL Michael Cannings, junior DL Tyler Jackson, junior LB Cody Schuberg and senior DB Desmond Yarger. 

Central Catholic will return to the gridiron against Medina Highland (11-1) on Friday, Nov. 12 in the Region 6 semifinals of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division II State Playoffs. The opening kick vs. the Hornets is slated for 7 pm at First National Bank Field at Bellevue High School. Friday’s post-season matchup will be streamed LIVE on the BCSN NOW APP at bcsnapp.com/watch.
