Trio of Fighting Irish Baseball Players Earn Postseason Recognition

A trio of Central Catholic baseball players have been recognized for their efforts on the diamond with Division II Northwest Ohio All-District accolades. Senior INF Wilson Stopera and junior C Trey Gray were named first-team all-district, while sophomore RHP Cody Markus earned honorable mention recognition.

The Fighting Irish are currently 12-6 overall this spring, including 6-5 in the Three Rivers Conference. CCHS will be the No. 3 seed in the Archbold Sectional of the state tournament, and it will host No. 6 seed Napoleon this evening at 5 pm at Mercy Field.
