Women’s History Month Q&A - Hailey O’Mara, ‘19

Alumna Hailey O’Mara is in her 1st year as the graphic designer at Central Catholic High School.  A 2019 graduate, Hailey also teaches yearbook and graphic design, along with serving as assistant cross country coach at her alma mater.

During her time as a student at CCHS, Hailey ran cross country and played softball all 4 years. She was also the class council secretary, and a member of the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society.

Hailey earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Xavier University. She played on the XU women’s squash team, and she was a member of the running club and the Xavier Art Society. She also worked in social media and graphic design as the creative lead for Xavier’s student Instagram account.

Both of Hailey’s parents, Richelle (Class of 1996) and Conor (Class of 1996), are Central Catholic graduates, and her younger brother Max (Class of 2025) is currently a sophomore at the home of the Irish. Hailey’s hobbies include physical fitness, spending time with friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and binge watching.

What advice would you give to women in your respective field?
Graphic design is everywhere you look. It's a career to continue fueling your creativity in a field of business.

Tell us about a woman you looked up to & why?
I look up to both of my grandmothers and mother, who always give me their unwavering support of my goals. I aspire to be that support system to others in my life.

What does Women's History Month mean to you?
WHM means celebrating women in all fields and walks of life.

What makes Central Catholic High School a SPECIAL place?
CCHS is a great place to be. I loved it in high school, and I'm so glad to be right back here after college!!!
