FAQs

  • On uniform days, students are to wear the red or white polo. Ladies may wear the plaid uniform skirt or khaki pants. Gentlemen should wear khaki pants. All these uniform pieces are to be purchased from the Shamrock Shop. Students’ own knee-length khaki shorts are allowed in August and September, and in May. Sneakers or boat/dress shoes are required. Absolutely no crocs, slides, sandals, boots, or slippers on any day. Students may wear non-hooded CCHS-branded sweaters, crewneck sweatshirts, and quarter-zips over their uniform. On spirit days, students are to wear sneakers and CCHS t-shirts and sweatshirts with jeans or sweatpants.

  • The Shamrock Shop is open each week on Tuesday,Wednesday, Thursday from 10:00am - 1:00pm.

  • The Tailgate Parking passes for football games are available by pre-purchase only. Please contact Jim Olsen for availability (jolsen@centralcatholic.org)

  • Tickets for all CCHS events can be purchased through the Hometown ticketing site. centralcatholic.org/tickets

  • Log in to PowerSchool using the link above. There will be an option for grades and attendance. When you click the course grade, which is organized by term (Q1, Q2, E1, S1, Q3, Q4, S2, E2), you can see individual assignment grades. 0s mean the work is missing. If you cannot access PowerSchool, please email powerschool@centralcatholic.org, or call the school and ask for Tom Trease or Carol Reyes.

  • First, reach out via email, which our teachers check daily. Each teacher’s email address can be found on the staff directory link, but it is also the first initial of their first name and then their last name, followed by @centralcatholic.org. You may also respond to the text message number you receive from them. If you are struggling, feel free to reach out to our principal, Morgan Connors.

  • CCHS students are much, much more likely to graduate and excel academically and socially when involved outside of the classroom in a club, music program, sport, or other activity. Reach out to Amy Rough, director of student activities, at arough@centralcatholic.org, for all club and council inquiries. Reach out to Greg Demosey, athletic director, at gdempsey@centralcatholic.org, or principal Morgan Connors for sports team information. In September, we host a club fair. In the spring and early summer, information about sports teams comes out for the following year.

  • All students are required to complete service hours each year in order to graduate. Freshman=10, Sophomore=15, Junior=20, Seniors=25, totaling 70 hours. These hours are all logged in the Mobile Serve app. Service hours include many activities that involve volunteering (unpaid) work to assist someone else. Some examples are working fish fry at a local parish, assisting an elderly neighbor with yard work, working at a food pantry, assisting with summer camps, helping teachers when they give the opportunity to earn service hours.

  • Students can pay for lunches in the cafeteria with a lunch account, cash or credit/debit card payments. If you are interested in a lunch account, you will need to set up the account at payschoolscentral.com. First, register an account, then add a new student using their student ID number. You will then be able to add money to the account via credit card or bank account. Incoming students will take a few weeks before they are available in the system.

  • It is important for students to be in class each day, however, we understand that there are times when they may need to miss for various reasons (Medical/Dental appointments, vacation, funeral, etc). If a student will be absent or late to school, please call the main office with the reason for missing before 8am. When a student needs to leave early, please send a note in to the office the morning of and the student will be given a pass to leave class at the designated time. Planned absences have a specific form the student takes to their classes to ensure all their teachers know of the absence. We ask that a note is sent in at least a week before the scheduled absence to attach to the form.

  • Students will keep all electronic personal devices (including phones, headphones, airpods, and smart watches) in their locker throughout the day. They are not to have their phone on their person or be on it between 8-3:03. Please send a text message to Becky Schmakel or Emily Andre, or call the school’s main line, if you need to get a message to your student before 3:03 pm. We need our parents’ help in enforcing this statewide and Diocesan-wide phone policy, designed to safeguard and protect our students’ emotional, mental, social, and physical wellbeing.
