Jordan Traver Selected Student of the Month for September
Senior Jordan Traver is captain of the Central Catholic swimming & diving team and the girls’ tennis squad. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Insignis Society, and she is an Irish ambassador. She was recently honored as one of the Top 6 candidates for CCHS Homecoming Queen.
Jordan volunteers for the Blessed Sacrament Parish festival and treasure sale. She also assists with Mr. A. Closet, a program at Woodward High School dedicated to her grandfather. He used to work at Woodward and would give his clothes to students who needed them. He passed away in January, and the school wanted to honor him for everything he did so they created a closet of donated clothes for students that need them. Jordan helps organize and set up the items because she wants it to be as perfect as it can be.
Jordan is taking a beginning guitar class with Danielle Consolo, Central Catholic’s instrumental music teacher and band director. “I believe Jordan should be named Student of the Month because she always comes into class with a positive attitude,” said Danielle. “She is always determined to do her best and learn, and she is a great role model inside the classroom. Jordan is extremely helpful to those around her and is a great example of what it means to be a CCHS student.”
“I chose Central Catholic because I have been around it my whole life, and both of my siblings are alumni,” said Jordan. “Owen graduated in 2020, and Morgan graduated in 2022. The best thing about CCHS is the people and the environment around me every day. The Irish spirit is never lacking!”
After graduation, Jordan plans to attend the University of Toledo to study civil engineering.
