Brooklyn Vaughn Selected to Play in North/South All-Star Game

Central Catholic girls’ basketball player Brooklyn Vaughn has been chosen to play in the 2024 Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) North/South All-Star Game.  Vaughn, who will represent District 7, will suit up for the North team on Friday, April 26 at Olentangy Liberty Main Gym at 6:30 p.m.

The OHSBCA was first organized in 1947.  It is the oldest high school basketball coaches associations in the USA and today is one of the largest coaches association in the country with more than 4,000+ members.

OHSBCA’s mission is to help maintain the highest possible standards in interscholastic basketball and the basketball coaching profession, and to work together for the improvement of conditions in Ohio High School Basketball.

A 3-time All-Ohio selection for the Scarlet & Gray, Vaughn averaged 14.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game in 2023-24, totaling 14 double-doubles.  She wrapped up her high school career with 1,074 points and 1,003 caroms. Back in November, Vaughn signed a National Letter of Intent with Loyola University Chicago.

Vaughn helped the Scarlet & Gray post an 18-8 overall ledger this past season, including an 8-1 mark in the Catholic High School League (CHSL).  CCHS advanced to the CHSL Central Division Championship Game.
