Danielle Williams Picked Student of the Month for April
Freshman Danielle Williams is a member of the African-American Club. In the future, she would like to get involved in more clubs and activities at Central Catholic. Her main goal was to keep her GPA high for her freshman year as it sets the foundation for her future years.
Danielle attends Indiana Missionary Baptist Church, where she works in the media ministry. She praise dances and sings in the choir on special occasions. She attends teen bible study and Sunday school as well. Danielle has volunteered at many food giveaways, some here in Toledo and some in Michigan. Earlier this school year, she was on a travel volleyball team and started boxing.
“I chose to attend Central Catholic because when I toured and shadowed it seemed like a perfect fit for me,” Danielle said. “I love the fact that it is a faith-based school and has theology as a required class because that means I can grow more in my faith. The school also has a lot of clubs that I am interested in, and I feel like I will be challenged here as I might not be somewhere else. The best thing about being at Central Catholic is that my peers and teachers are kind and welcoming, which makes it feel like a safe place where I can grow.”
In the future, Danielle plans to go to college, but she is not sure yet what she will study. “I would also like to travel and make sure I work hard and give back to those that helped me get through life. I found out that I was named Student of the Month on my birthday! That was very exciting, and I am honored.”
“Danielle is an extremely motivated and hardworking student,” said Danielle’s English teacher, Mrs. Katie McGee. “She participates meaningfully in class discussions by adding original observations, she is respectful to her teachers and classmates, and she serves as a great role model for her peers.”
