Story Comes to Life at the Zoo

Recently, the Honors Spanish 4 and AP Spanish students visited the Toledo Zoo to learn more about snakes of South America.  The students had read Horacio Quiroga’s Spanish story, Anaconda, in which all the characters were snakes.  At the zoo, they were able to see what many of the characters would look like, learn and discuss their characteristics and habitats, and bring the story to life.
