What subjects and grade levels do you teach?
I teach sophomore American Literature - Honors / CP and Creative Writing.
How long have you been teaching at Central Catholic?
I will be starting my 18th year at CCHS in 2021-22.
What is your educational background?
I am a graduate of The University of Toledo with a bachelor's of education degree for grades 7-12.
What is the best kept secret about Central Catholic?
It has to be the chapel. Its beauty centers and calms me.
What inspired you to become a teacher?
When I was a senior in high school my AP English teacher showed me that my love for thinking, reading, and writing had value. She saw me not as just a student in her class, but as a fellow academic. She instilled in me a passion for lifelong learning rooted in literature. I became a teacher in order to share the holy gift she gave me with my students.
What do you like most about teaching at Central Catholic?
First and foremost: my students. Central Catholic is my second family. I like knowing that it is a place where I can be who God fashioned me to be.
