What subjects and grade levels do you teach?
I teach Advanced (Honors) Art, AP Art and Design, Graphics, Art Fundamentals, 3D Modeling & Animation, and Drawing & Painting.

How long have you been teaching at Central Catholic?
This is my 21st year at CCHS.

What is your educational background?
I went to the University of Toledo where I earned my B.F.A. in studio art, and my B.Ed. and  M.Ed. in art education.

What is the best kept secret about Central Catholic?
The best kept secret about Central Catholic is the Art Department!  Last year every student from CCHS who had work in the 9th Congressional District Student Art Competition was an award-winner, and ninety percent of the students who have taken AP Art and Design have received AP credit.

What inspired you to become a teacher?
The most inspiring thing about being an art teacher is witnessing that “ah-ha” moment when a student creates something they never thought they could, and are proud of their accomplishments.

What do you like most about teaching at Central Catholic?
Students, faculty, staff, and administration will do whatever they can to ensure that each student can thrive at CCHS.  I see examples of it on a daily basis and I am blessed to be here. As an added bonus, it’s a place where I can easily get 10,000 steps on my Fitbit every day!
