How long have you been teaching at Central Catholic?
This is my third year teaching at Central Catholic.
What is your educational background?
I graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in education and another bachelor’s degree in history.
What is the best kept secret about Central Catholic?
Central Catholic teaches you to be a very quick and efficient eater during lunchtime!
What inspired you to become a teacher?
My mom is a teacher and I always thought about becoming a teacher, even when I was in high school. I didn't start out in college in education, but I eventually changed majors because it was the thing that I always came back to in my mind. I've always had great social studies teachers, especially when I went to Central, and it was just something that I knew I had to do.
What do you like most about teaching at Central Catholic?
The fact that I went here and it wasn't that long ago, I feel like I can connect to the students. Not everything is the same from when I was in school, but it’s enough that we have many similar high school experiences. I feel like that is a pretty unique opportunity for me as a teacher. I'm glad that I went to school here and it's been great being back teaching here. I do still feel weird now being allowed to go into the teacher's lounge though.
