Alumna Simone Green became the first student-athlete in the history of the University of Findlay women’s track & field program to eclipse the 12-meter mark in the triple jump.

A 2019 graduate of Central Catholic and currently a junior for the Oilers, Green reached a distance of 12.02m (39'05.25") at the Findlay Alumni Classic on Saturday, shattering the previous mark of 11.98m by Kacie Lackey, a record which had stood since 1994.

Green’s historic jump also established a new Great Midwest Athletic Conference record, breaking her own mark of 11.83m set earlier this season. Green, who captured a league title in the long jump this past spring, now owns the top three jumps in G-MAC history.
