Annual Science Expo Results

Central Catholic’s Honors Biology and Chemistry students recently shared their research projects at the annual Science Expo in the Sullivan Center. These 55 students have been working on their projects since January, and they presented them to faculty, staff, and students. Our AP Science students acted as in-person judges.

Students were directed to make a connection to one of the Catholic Social Teachings as part of their project. These teachings are about building a just society and living lives of holiness amidst the challenges of modern society. They include:

· Life and Dignity of the Human Person

· Call to Family, Community, and Participation

· Rights and Responsibilities

· Option for the Poor and Vulnerable

· Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers

· Solidarity

· Care for God’s Creation

All the students did fantastic work! Congratulations to the Top 11 students (listed below) who will go on to have their projects judged via Zoom by an external panel of judges:
