Bishop Daniel Thomas to Visit CCHS This Friday
Bishop Daniel Thomas, Bishop of the Diocese of Toledo, will visit Central Catholic High School this Friday, Jan. 14 from 10 am-1:30 pm. Bishop Thomas will preside at Mass for the students, faculty, staff, and guests in the Sullivan Center beginning at 10 am.
Bishop Thomas will hold a Q & A session with all junior and senior students in the Sullivan Center immediately following Mass. The students will present Bishop Thomas with a special gift after the Q & A session, and then two students will conduct an interview with him for the school newspaper.
“Catholic schools have, specifically, the mission to teach the Gospel to students and to help bring everyone to know the love of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church,” said Fr. David Kidd, Central Catholic’s Priest Leader. “Bishop Thomas values the work of Catholic schools, especially here at Central Catholic, in the mission of forming disciples of Jesus Christ. What better way for him to see that in action than to come to the Home of the Irish. He wants to show his support of our mission to students, teachers, and staff, and see how we carry out that important work as an extension of his vision for Catholic schools.”
