Girls’ Basketball Throttles TRAC Foe Lima Senior, 70-31

The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team throttled Lima Senior, 70-31, on Thursday in the Gym at Lima Senior High School. With the dominating road triumph, CCHS improves to 12-0 overall, 8-0 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference.

Sophomore Brooklyn Vaughn and senior Brinn Hunt paced the unbeaten Fighting Irish with double-doubles. Vaughn posted a season-high 22 points and a season-best 17 rebounds, while Hunt had 10 points and 10 caroms.

The Scarlet & Gray also benefitted from 17 points each by sophomore Corniya Clay and classmate Emily Baer.

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood vs. Trotwood-Madison on Monday, Jan. 17. The varsity contest ONLY between the Scarlet & Gray and Rams will tip off at 2 pm in the Sullivan Center. The CCHS junior varsity will be back in action against Findlay on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 6 pm on the road.
