Boys’ Basketball Defeats Oregon Clay in TRAC Opener, 59-32

The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team secured a 59-32 road victory against Oregon Clay on Friday in the Clay HS Potter Field House. With the double-digit road triumph, CCHS improves to 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference.

Freshman Makhi Leach paced the Fighting Irish with a game-high 11 points, followed closely by junior Michael Greenlee Jr. with 10. Leach has now scored in double figures in each of his first two contests wearing the Scarlet & Gray.

Lucas Measel led the Eagles with eight points.

Earlier in the evening, the CCHS freshman basketball team posted a 43-37 win vs. Clay, while the junior varsity squad prevailed 43-29.

CCHS will return to the hardwood against rival St. Francis de Sales on Friday, Dec. 10. The opening tip versus the Knights is slated for 7:30 pm at St. Francis De Sales School.
