Boys’ Basketball Suffers First Loss vs. Findlay, 62-53

The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team suffered a 62-53 setback against Findlay on Tuesday in the Sullivan Center. With the home loss, CCHS falls to 5-1 overall, 3-1 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference.

The Trojans outscored the Fighting Irish 46-27 in the second half to hand the Scarlet & Gray its first loss of the season.   

Junior Chico Johnson paced Central Catholic with a game-high 17 points.

Max Roth led the way for visiting Findlay with 15 points and Jake Bishop had 14.

 
Earlier in the evening, the CCHS freshmen team dropped a 32-29 decision vs. the Trojans, while the junior varsity squad lost 36-30.


Central Catholic will return to the hardwood against Perrysburg on Thursday, Dec. 23 in the Sullivan Center. Freshmen will get things started at 4:30 pm in the Sullivan Center, followed by Junior Varsity and Varsity at 5:45 pm and 7:15 pm, respectively.
