Central Catholic to Present 93rd Spring Musical in May
The Central Catholic High School music department has announced its 93rd spring musical production, Kiss Me, Kate. The show will take place May 6-8 at the Valentine Theatre. Showtimes are Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 at 7 pm, and Sunday, May 8 at 3 pm.
“Both the directors and the students are thrilled to be back at this historic venue, and appreciate the opportunity to have the entire cast on the main stage,” said Artistic and Vocal Director, Rebecca Buckman. “Kiss Me, Kate, composed by Cole Porter in 1948, is based on Shakespeare’s famous play The Taming of the Shrew. I picked this particular production for the writing style and memorable songs. Teaching this show within a show has exposed the students to both Shakespeare’s wit and the romantic style of an older era. We look forward to seeing you at the show!”

Tickets are $15 for the first and second floor and $12 for balcony seats. Student tickets with I.D. are $10. Please note, there is a $2 handling fee per ticket added on by the Valentine Theatre, and internet convenience fees if you order online.
