Four Girls’ Soccer Players Earn All-District Recognition

A group of four Central Catholic girls’ soccer players have been touted for their performances on the pitch with Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (NWOSSCA) postseason honors.

Senior Livia Hurst was named first-team all-district, classmate Mya Patton earned second-team laurels, while senior Claire Whipple and junior Mya Vernon garnered honorable mention honors.

Hurst and Whipple are receiving postseason acknowledgement for a third-consecutive year. Hurst collected second-team honors and Whipple was an honorable mention selection each of the last two falls. In addition, Patton is earning second-team laurels for a second-straight year.

This fall, the Fighting Irish finished 5-9-5 overall, including 2-4-1 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC). Individually, Hurst and Patton were named first-team all-league, while Whipple and Vernon collected second-team honors.
