Get to Know CCHS Staffulty Member - Tyler Kleeberger, ‘08
- What is your position at Central Catholic?
I am an academic assistant for students in all grade levels, providing individual and small group assistance to students in study hall, as well as an occasional substitute teacher. I am also the quarterbacks coach for the Fighting Irish football team. I played quarterback when I was a student at CCHS.
- What is your educational background?
I have a BA in interpersonal and organizational communication from the University of Mount Union. I also studied at the Fuller Theological Seminary and School of Psychology, as well as Methodist Theological School of Ohio.
- What inspired you to become a teacher?
I am a pastor and executive director of a church and non-profit called The Farmhouse. Much of my work has been in helping individuals progress, grow, and transform, and I also have a deep passion for learning. The opportunity to work with students to help them become the best versions of themselves is a meaningful endeavor.
- What made you want to teach at Central Catholic?
Central Catholic marked an important season of my life that set the trajectory for who I am. As I have grown personally and professionally, I hope to bring that growth to contribute to a place that was so impactful to me. Coming back to Central Catholic feels like coming home.
- What do you like to do outside of work?
I work at The Farmhouse as executive director and pastor, but I am also an author, a hobbyist farmer, a football coach, a software engineer, and a freelance writer/podcaster for a platform called Becoming Human. I live in rural Metamora, Ohio with my spouse, Vanessa, and our four children (Landon, Toren, Quinn, and Koen) and enjoy shooting archery, reading books, playing music, and cooking in whatever free time I have left.
- Feel free to add anything else you’d like to include so we can get to know you better!
Despite my involvement in athletics and public speaking, I am more notably a nerd and an introvert. I spent some time in Pasadena, Calif., before moving to the countryside and definitely consider myself rural at this point in my life.
