Girls’ Basketball Drops 62-31 Decision vs. Father Gabriel Richard at Home

The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team dropped a 62-31 decision against Father Gabriel Richard on Saturday in the Sullivan Center.  With the loss, the Fighting Irish fall to 1-7 overall, 1-2 in the Catholic High School League.

CCHS trailed 32-14 at halftime vs. FGR and could not mount a comeback in its 1st game in 2025.

Junior Serinity Bolden paced the Scarlet & Gray with 12 points, followed closely by classmate Marissa Justen with 11 points.

Charlotte Miller led FGR with a game-high 16 points, while Cora Williams kicked in 12 points.

Earlier in the day, the CCHS junior varsity team claimed a 36-21 victory vs. Father Gabriel Richard.

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood against Western Reserve Academy on Wednesday, January 8 at 6 p.m. in the Sullivan Center. Tickets for Wednesday’s non-league matchup on Cherry Street can be purchased at bit.ly/3EjJhky.
