Girls’ Basketball Runs Away from Lima Senior in TRAC Opener, 69-24

The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team returned to its winning ways on Monday, securing a 69-24 victory against Lima Senior in its Three Rivers Conference opener in the Lima Senior Gymnasium. With the dominating win, the Fighting Irish improve to 2-1 overall, 1-0 in the TRAC.

Junior Brooklyn Vaughn led a balanced CCHS attack with a game-high 19 points, while classmate Corniya Clay and senior Mary Ellis contributed 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Anya James paced the visiting Spartans with 8 points.

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood at Findlay on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 pm.
