IDT Finishes Runner-Up in Large Hip-Hop at OASSA State Championships

The Irish Dance Team (IDT) finished runner-up in Large Hip-Hop at the OASSA Dance State Championships on Sunday at Heath High School.  IDT has now placed in the Top 3 on 12 occasions at the state championships since 2018, capturing 6 state titles.

The Scarlet & Gray also claimed the “Best Sportsmanship Award” for the 2nd time in the last 3 years on Sunday, voted on by the other teams & coaches at the 1-day competition.

In program history, IDT has secured 5 state crowns in Hip-Hop (2018, ’19, ’20, ’22, ‘23) and 1 in Jazz (2022).

IDT has 20 student-athletes currently on its squad, including 1 senior – Amiyah Young.
