Quintet of Girls’ Tennis Players Garner All-TRAC Recognition

A quintet of Central Catholic girls’ tennis players have been recognized for their efforts on the court with Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) postseason accolades. Freshman Lauren Bishop was named 1st-team all-league, senior Jane Cowell and freshman Jordan Traver earned 2nd-team laurels, while senior Mackenzie Carr and senior Jamela Fox-Morris collected honorable mention recognition.

Cowell is garnering all-conference honors for the 2nd-straight year, as she was selected honorable mention a season ago.

This fall, the Fighting Irish finished 6th at the TRAC Championship. Bishop spearheaded their tourney efforts with a 4th-place finish at No. 1 singles. In addition, Carr placed 5th at No. 2 singles, while the duo of Cowell and Traver finished 5th at No. 1 doubles.

CCHS will return to the court for the Division II Sectional Tournament on Thursday, Oct. 6 at Ottawa Hills High School at 9 am.
