Scarlet & Gray Trio Earn All-CHSL Laurels
Three members of the Central Catholic girls’ basketball team have been recognized for its efforts on the hardwood with Catholic High School League (CHSL) postseason accolades.
Junior Nina Stevens collected All-Catholic laurels, junior Serinity Bolden was named All-League, and senior Paris Waites garnered All-Academic honors.
Stevens is currently tallying a squad-best 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest.
A captain, Bolden is contributing 8.9 points, a team-high 6.3 caroms, and a squad-best 3.1 helpers per game.
A captain, Waites has been chosen Summa Cum Laude in each of the 1st 2 quarters this school year.
Head Coach Clifton Hodges and Central Catholic will return to the hardwood against Bowsher this evening in the Division III Sectional Finals at 7 p.m. at Bowsher High School. CCHS has been selected as the No. 5 seed in the Northwood District. If the Fighting Irish defeat the No. 2 seed Blue Racers, they will play the winner of No. 3 seed Maumee or No. 4 seed Rogers on Wednesday, February 19 at 8:30 p.m. on the road.
