Seven Fighting Irish Soccer Players Garner Postseason All-TRAC Recognition

A group of seven Central Catholic girls’ soccer players have been recognized for their efforts on the pitch with Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) postseason accolades.

Senior Livia Hurst and senior Mya Patton were named first-team all-league, senior Claire Whipple and junior Mya Vernon earned second-team laurels, while sophomore Alyza Randall, junior Mya Seymour and sophomore Makenah Vargas garnered honorable mention honors.

The quartet of Hurst, Patton, Whipple and Vernon are receiving postseason acknowledgement for a second-consecutive year. Last fall, Hurst collected first-team honors, Patton and Whipple were selected second team and Vernon earned honorable mention honors.

The Fighting Irish, the reigning Division II District Champions, begin postseason play against Rossford High School on Saturday, Oct. 23 at home. The opening kick vs. the Bulldogs is slated for 1 pm at Gallagher Stadium. To purchase tickets for Saturday’s contest, please go to ohsaa.org/tickets. Reminder, no tickets will be available to purchase at the gate. In addition, CCHS students MUST purchase a ticket to attend the match. Students will NOT get in with their ID.
