Quintet of Fighting Irish Soccer Players Garner Postseason All-TRAC Recognition
A quintet of Central Catholic boys’ soccer players have been recognized for their efforts on the pitch with Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) postseason accolades.
Junior Brian Bishop was named first-team all-league, senior Amaar Zarrieff earned second-team laurels, while senior Luke Mikolajczyk, junior Will Rudski and senior Stephen Williams garnered honorable mention honors.
The trio of Bishop, Zarrieff and Rudski are receiving postseason acknowledgement for a second-consecutive year, as each collected honorable mention honors last fall.
The Fighting Irish, the three-time reigning Division II District Champions, begin postseason play against Port Clinton High School this evening at home. The opening kick vs. the Redskins is slated for 6:30 pm at Gallagher Stadium. To purchase tickets for tonight’s contest, please go to ohsaa.org/tickets. Reminder, no tickets will be available to purchase at the gate. In addition, CCHS students MUST purchase a ticket to attend the match. Students will NOT get in with their ID.
