Girls’ Volleyball Captain Sophia Farrugia Receives 2nd-Team All-District Division II Accolades
Central Catholic girls’ volleyball senior Sophia Farrugia was named 2nd-team All-District VII Division II on Thursday, as selected by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association (OHSVCA).
Farrugia averaged a team-high 2.3 kills per set and posted a 60% service reception mark this past fall, earning All-Catholic accolades in the Catholic High School League (CHSL). A team captain, she totaled 122 kills in 17 matches and tallied 2.5 digs per set.
Farrugia is set to play in the District VII All-Star Match on Monday, Nov. 13.
