Toledo Blade: Students make annual Advent pilgrimage

Minutes after taking their last final exam of the year, and with only about 90 minutes until the start of their holiday break, Central Catholic High School students clustered in line on a chilly late-morning Friday for the Advent pilgrimage, a decades-long school tradition.

The line of more than 600 students, grouped in descending grade order, with school faculty and a few adults mixed in, moved in a steady procession from the steps of the school, through neighborhood streets, and to the steps of Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, about a half-mile east, with police stationed along the way to help with traffic.
