Trainer Visits Central Catholic’s Support Dog

Therapy Dogs International evaluator and trainer, B. Lynn Koepfer, spent the day with Georgia and CCHS students in Mrs. McKinley’s classes.

Georgia is Central Catholic’s emotional support dog, and she is training to become a therapy dog, which will allow her to visit hospitals, nursing homes, and other schools to provide comfort and support.

The students in psychology and sociology classes are working with Georgia to help her learn the tasks that are involved in passing the therapy dog test.  Ms. Koepfer brought another dog with her to the classroom to help Georgia learn to get along with other animals she may encounter.
