Wrestling Excels at Sectional Tournament

The Central Catholic wrestling team competed at the Division II Sectional Tournament on Saturday at Sandusky High School.

Highlighting the efforts for the Fighting Irish was a first-place finish by sophomore Michael Cannings II (285 pounds). In addition, senior James Foster (175 pounds) and junior Deandre Ellis (215 pounds) posted third-place finishes, while freshman Emilio Herrara (106) placed fourth.

This quartet will now advance to the OHSAA District Tournament on Friday-Saturday, March 4-5 at Norwalk High School.
