Wrestling Team Participates in TRAC Championship

The Central Catholic wrestling team participated in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference Championship on Friday at Fremont Ross High School.

Highlighting the Fighting Irish’s efforts was a 1st-place finish by junior Michael Cannings II at heavyweight. Cannings pinned all his opponents en route to capturing the league title.

In addition, sophomore Emilio Herrera placed 3rd at 106 pounds at the 1-day event.

Central Catholic will return to the mat for the Sectional Championship on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Sandusky High School at 9 am.
