Central Catholic’s senior class has two sets of triplets! Meet the Duckett triplets…

Andrew Duckett

Central Catholic Activities:

  • Kicker for the Fighting Irish football team

  • Baseball

Other Activities:

  • Member of St. Joan of Arc Parish

  • CYO basketball

Why did you choose to attend Central Catholic, and what’s the best thing about being here?
“Central Catholic was the best fit for me.  The best thing about being here is being on the football team.”

Future Plans:
“I plan to attend the University of Toledo, but I’m undecided about my major.”

What are the best and worst parts of being a triplet?
“The worst thing is having to share a birthday, but the best part is always having a friend.”

Jacob Duckett

Central Catholic Activities:

  • Fighting Irish lacrosse team

  • Previously played football

  • Volunteered for cancer walk

Other Activities:

  • Member of St. Joan of Arc Parish

  • CYO basketball

Why did you choose to attend Central Catholic, and what’s the best thing about being here?
“My brother Jordan and my sister Morgan went here and I used to go to football games with them.  Central Catholic just seems like its own family. I didn’t feel as much togetherness at other schools.  I always wanted to go to a Catholic, co-ed high school and this is the right fit. I’ve made connections and lifelong friends.”

Future Plans:
“I’m planning to attend the University of Toledo College of Engineering and major in mechanical or computer science.”

What are the best and worst parts of being a triplet?
“The best part is that more people know who you are, you always have two friends, and you’re never alone.  But the worst part is also that you’re never alone! You always have to share and think of the other two, and you can’t just do what you want to do all the time.”

Mikayla Duckett

Central Catholic Activities:

  • Student Council

  • National Honor Society

  • Volleyball - 3 year varsity team member, team captain, First Team All-TRAC and First Team All-District

Other Activities:

  • Member of St. Joan of Arc Parish where I participate in service projects

Why did you choose to attend Central Catholic, and what’s the best thing about being here?
“Spirit and family life.  The students show spirit and love for the school all the time.  They always show love to everyone by supporting all the sports, and our student section at football games is packed!  It’s like a family and everyone cheers for each other, and I wanted to be part of that family.”

Future Plans:
“I am undecided about my college plans and major.”

What are the best and worst parts of being a triplet?
“The best parts are always having them to count on, and I’ll always have them as my best friends.  The worst is when we have to share everything. And we fight about a lot of things, like where to go out to eat, and usually they side with each other since I'm the only girl.  But they keep me humble and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Irish Extra:

"With no prior knowledge of Andrew, Jacob, and Mikayla, you would not readily guess that they are triplets.  The three truly are three unique individuals with their own gifts, personalities, and interests. So diverse are they, it is challenging to even write a summary to describe them as the ‘Duckett triplets.’  There is Jacob, there is Mikayla, and there is Andrew. Each one, in their own right, is a joy to know and to have in class. I admire different qualities in each of them, and together, I admire their commitment to being their own selves."
