Why did you choose to attend Central Catholic, and what’s the best thing about being here?
“I chose to attend CCHS for many reasons. Central Catholic is a place full of faith, friendships, strong academics, amazing school spirit, athletics, and tradition. At Central Catholic, I can learn about God. That is something I can’t do at a public school. Although both of my siblings attended CCHS, I considered other high school options. After visitations and shadowing, no school came close to CCHS. It felt like home and I knew that was where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life. I felt like I belonged to something greater than a school: a family. Central Catholic has prepared me for the future in all areas of my life.
“Central Catholic’s student body is comprised of the most kind, hardworking, faith-filled people that I have ever encountered. The faculty, staff, and students are what really make CCHS The One. CCHS is one community that comes together every day in prayer, every week in Mass/Adoration, and countless nights under the lights to watch our outstanding athletic teams. Central Catholic builds friendships that will last a lifetime. I have never experienced such an amazing school! I wouldn’t change anything about CCHS.”
Future Plans:
“My plan after I graduate is to attend the University of Toledo and study to become a psychologist. I am going to major in psychology with a minor in business. I am ready for the challenges the future holds for me.”
Irish Extra:
Zach, his brother Jacob (a CCHS graduate), and their cousin are members of The Scally Brothers Christian band. The band performed an amazing show on January 31 in the Central Catholic front gym for students, faculty, and guests.
Zach is passionate about his faith, and one of the ways he expresses his love for God is through music. He hoped that the concert would ultimately bring people closer to Christ.
The Scally Brothers were coming off their first national tour that stopped in nearly 20 states across the country at various churches, camps, festivals, and fairs. Throughout the tour, they had the opportunity to perform alongside some major Christian music artists such as Matt Maher, Tenth Avenue North, Jason Gray, Carrollton, and JJ Weeks.
