27 years
What is your educational background?
Miami University, University of Toledo B.Ed
What is the best kept secret about Central Catholic?
It has the best science department!
What inspired you to become a teacher?
I originally began my college career as a zoology/pre-med major and decided that wasn’t for me. Then I was an art major with the intent of going to graduate school to become a medical text illustrator, and then I fell into teaching. Now I can’t imagine doing anything else (except in retirement owning a bakery specializing solely in cookies!) My mom, who is a 1962 CCHS graduate, said she always knew that I would be a teacher.
What do you like most about teaching at Central Catholic?
The spirit, the family feel, the faith, and everything Irish.
“Mrs. Bremer's honors chemistry class was one of the most challenging classes I have taken in my academic career. Her class prepared me not only for college but for real life experiences in the science field as a registered nurse. She made the classroom experience fun and educational with her knowledge and warm spirit. I am so proud to call her my past teacher! Her dedication to the students and Central Catholic as a whole has not gone unnoticed, and it’s such a privilege to know her as a person!”
