Get to Know CCHS Administrator - Morgan Delp, ‘11

What is your position at Central Catholic?
I taught social studies and journalism to all grade levels (but mostly freshman World Studies) for four years; currently, I am the Dean of Academics.

As the Dean of Academics, I will work with teachers, parents, students, and other staff to improve student outcomes.  This includes a focus on classroom teaching, student data, and curriculum, but also on our other academic student success programs.

How long have you worked at Central Catholic?
This will be my fifth year at the school as a “staffulty” member.

What is your educational background?
Bachelor of Arts in History (journalism minor) from Hillsdale College in 2015

Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame in 2020

What is the best kept secret about Central Catholic?
Central Catholic is a special place.  It's not really a secret that we're a family, but it's definitely something you have to experience - as a student, parent, teacher, staff member, coach, alumnus - to understand.  I truly believe CCHS puts the "unity" in our diverse "community."

What inspired you to become a teacher/administrator?
While it wasn't in my original plan, I truly believe God led me to teach at CCHS.  Looking back, my mom reminds me that I have been playing "school" with my friends and siblings since I was little.  I've been blessed to have my love of learning fostered by incredible teachers from my time at Lial, CCHS, Hillsdale, and Notre Dame. It's a challenge and an honor to be able to do the same for a student.

What do you like most about working at Central Catholic?
The students at Central Catholic are my favorite part of the job.  They make the work we do rewarding, as I see God's image reflected in them daily.
