3 Fighting Irish Volleyball Players Garner Postseason All-CHSL Accolades
A trio of Central Catholic girls’ volleyball players have been recognized for their efforts on the court with Catholic High School League (CHSL) postseason accolades.
Junior Audrina Randall garnered All-Catholic laurels, senior Mary Merchant was named All-League, and junior Madison Schmakel collected All-Academic honors.
A setter, Randall totaled a team-high 333 assists, 120 digs, 8 kills, and a squad-best 18 aces during the fall.
A team captain and outside hitter, Merchant had a squad-best 106 terminations, 102 digs, and 12 aces.
A team captain & libero, Schmakel registered a team-high 211 digs, 35 assists, 14 aces, and 11 kills. She also posted a squad-best .556 serve/receive percentage.
The Scarlet & Gray recently advanced to the semifinals of the Division III District Tournament under of the direction of 1st-year head coach Troy Zabawa.
