7 Fighting Irish Named OHSBCA Academic All-Ohio

Seven members of the Central Catholic baseball team have been named Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) Academic All-Ohio.

Senior INF/RHP Winston Delp, senior C Grant Haupricht, senior INF/RHP Cody Markus, senior OF/RHP Andrew Metzger, senior INF Ayden Tanhueco, senior INF/RHP Grant Tefft, and senior INF Bryce Wagner were the Fighting Irish to earn the academic honor.

Earlier this spring, CCHS received the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award. The Scarlet & Gray earned this prestigious accolade for the 4th-straight season.

On the diamond, Central Catholic posted a 14-12 overall record in 2023, including a 7-7 ledger in the TRAC’s final season.
