Boys’ Basketball Edges Out Trotwood-Madison Away From Home, 58-56

The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team captured a 58-56 win against Trotwood-Madison on Saturday in the Gym at Trotwood. With the non-conference victory, the Fighting Irish improve to 2-1 on the season.

Senior Ty’Waun Clark paced a balanced CCHS attack with a season-high 14 points.

Senior Kechan Johnson Jr. added 12 points for the victorious Scarlet & Gray, while senior Michael Greenlee Jr., junior Isaiah Brenneman, and sophomore Makhi Leach tallied 9 points each.

Mykel Morton led the Ram (2-3) with a game-high 19 points, followed by Timothy Carpenter and Marlon Howard with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

Earlier in the evening, the CCHS freshman lost to Trotwood-Madison, 57-48, while the junior varsity team secured a 60-53 triumph against its non-conference opponent.

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood against league-rival Findlay on Tuesday, Dec. 20. The opening tip versus the Trojans is scheduled for 7:30 pm in the Findlay HS Gymnasium.
