Boys’ Basketball Manhandles Emmanuel Christian at Home, 77-33
The Central Catholic boys' basketball team manhandled Emmanuel Christian, 77-33, on Saturday on "Senior Night" in the Sullivan Center. With the impressive home victory, CCHS improves 9-7 overall.
The Fighting Irish posted a decisive 9-3 edge in triples and 16-4 advantage at the charity stripe against the Warriors, helping them snap a 5-game winless stretch.
Junior Draden Wardrop led a balanced attack with a game-high 18 points, followed by sophomore Cayden Kynard and sophomore Isaiah Mack-Russell with 13 points each. In total, 11 players found the scoring column, as the Scarlet & Gray topped the 70-point mark for the 4th time this season.
Anthony Trombley paced ECS with 10 points.
Earlier in the evening, the CCHS junior varsity squad registered an impressive 70-39 triumph vs. the Warriors on Cherry Street.
