Boys’ Basketball Fall to St. Mary’s Preparatory in Quarterfinals of CHSL Tournament, 62-38

The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team suffered a 62-38 loss against St. Mary’s Preparatory in the quarterfinals of the Catholic High School League Tournament on Saturday on the campus of Marian High School. With the neutral-court setback, CCHS falls to 6-14 on the season.

Freshman Isaiah Mack-Russell paced the Fighting Irish with a game-high 23 points. Their next highest scorer was Sharard Vaughn III with 5 points.

Trey McKinney led the Eaglets (17-1) with 18 points, followed closely by Jayden Savoury with 16 points.
